Charles's Story
Life
Spent two years in Army (1954-56), stationed in Vienna, Austria, where I met my wife of 45 years, Susanna. Returned to states and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism at the University of California (Berkeley). Have spent the last 42 years as a sportswriter/sports editor for four different papers in Corona, Fullerton, Calif., in Kent, Wash., and currently at the Lewiston Morning Tribune in Lewiston, Idaho. g the good news ever since. Father of four children, currently have nine grandchildren and one great grandchild. Have umpired five pro baseball games and countless college, Legion and high school games over course of past 38 years and currently do only men's and women's rec softball. Went by the first name of Bob at Sequoia and was a very close friend of fellow Sequoia grad Paul Dinkelspiel, who died in October, 2002.
Just to add: The other Charles (Bob) Barrows and I are one and the same.
